This year’s St. Croix River Workshops on the Water will focus on: \n\n\nEconomic Value of Clean Lakes and Rivers (Presenter: John Linc Stine\, retired Commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Executive Director of Freshwater Society) \n\n\nVanishing Shorelines & Importance of Shoreland Rules (Presenters: Matt Baumann\, Minnesota DNR and Tom Langer\, Carnelian-Marine-St. Croix Watershed District) \n\n\nLily Lake Success Story: Panel discussion with Q & A.  Learn how local partners in Stillwater collaborated to improve water quality and “de-list” Lily Lake. SUMMARY:Watershed Moment\, Part of the WAKPA Triennial Art Festival
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Public Art Saint Paul and the MWMO\, MWMO Artist-in-Residence Sarah Nassif invites you to Watershed Moment\, part of the WAKPA Triennial Art Festival\, on July 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization. Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to learn indigo fiber art techniques and work together to craft a map of the MWMO watershed using indigo-dyed wool roving and fleece. \nThe event\, part of Nassif’s ongoing Weaving Water project\, will also feature tours of the MWMO’s Stormwater Park and Learning Center.
