DESCRIPTION:Freshwater\, along with the City of Minneapolis and other partners\, will unveil a new trash boom system designed to prevent pollution on Lake Hiawatha. \nThis free\, all ages event includes: \n– Volunteer cleanup\n– Art installation\n– Canoeing\n– DIY environmentally friendly cleaners\n– Macroinvertebrate search with aquatic nets\n– Sign up for Adopt-a-Drain and Adopt a River programs \nThe cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. with press interviews at 11 a.m. and installation of the boom filters at 11:15 a.m.
