SUMMARY:UPRIVER: A Watershed Film
DESCRIPTION:Our next Moos Family Speaker Series presentation will feature a free big-screen showing of UPRIVER\, a documentary that explores one of the nation’s most active river conservation movements. Within Oregon’s Willamette River system\, the film focuses on people from all walks of life who are coming together to revive the health of this large river and the life it supports. \nWe hope this film inspires new thinking on watershed partnerships here in the Midwest – and how we might creatively share our conservation stories. \nThe post-show panel discussion will include: \n\nJeremy Monroe (Freshwaters Illustrated founder and director of “UPRIVER”)\nBarbara Coffin (producer of “Troubled Waters: A Mississippi River Story”)\nJohn Whitehead (Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker)\nPatrick Moore (former communications director for Pioneer PBS)\n\nDoors at 6:30 p.m.\, film at 7 p.m.\, panel discussion at 8 p.m. Register here.
