Ron Schara |
Outdoors writer and broacaster Ron Schara hosts the latest Water Minute video produced by the Freshwater Society and KARE-11 TV for 2010 – The Year of Water. Schara describes actions on the land — letting native vegitation grow on lakeshores, catching storm runoff in rain gardens and planting buffer strips between farm fields and lakes and streams — that dramatically improve water quality.
Other Water Minute videos describe the massive waste of water that results from over-watering of U.S. lawns and gardens, and the pollution that pours off of roofs, sidewalks and driveways and ends up in lakes and streams. View all the Water Minute videos.
