A tour of award-winning rain gardens in St. Paul’s Como neighborhood will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The tour will be led by staff from Capitol Region Watershed District and Metro Conservation Districts, and hosted by Friends of the Mississippi River.
The rain gardens were constructed by as part of the Arlington-Pascal Stormwater Improvement Project — winner of a 2010 Minnesota Environmental Initiative award for natural resource protection and restoration.
The tour will involve walking on paved park trails and sidewalks for approximately two miles over a two-hour time period. The tour is free and open to all, but capacity is limited. Pre-registration is required and early registration encouraged and appreciated.
