Visit the Patagonia store on Grand Avenue in St. Paul between March 10 and 31, and help the Freshwater Society win a grant of up to $5,000 from the outdoor clothing company.
Patagonia is holding a Vote Your Choice campaign that allows customers to learn more about three local nonprofits devoted to sustainability or the environment. And customers are allowed to vote which of the three – Freshwater, Redesign Inc. and the Voyageurs National Park Association – will get a grant of $2,500, which will get $1,500 and which will get $1,000.
On Saturday, March 12, and Saturday, March 19, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., representatives of Freshwater will be in the store to provide information about our organization, answer questions and distribute some of our literature.
The store is located at 1648 Grand Ave. Stop in, check out Pategonia’s line of oudoor clothing and support Freshwater with your vote.
The grants are a part of Patagonia’s Our Common Waters campaign, which spotlights the need to balance human water consumption with the needs of plants and animals. Patagonia, based in Ventura, Calif., annually donates at least 1 percent of its sales receipts to environmental groups.
