Join the Minnesota Division of the Izaak Walton League on Saturday, Feb. 22, for a day-long conference on state initiatives for water management and wetland conservation.
The event – Watershed Summit 2014: New Management Strategies & Targets for Water Quality/Quantity – will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Normandale Community College in Bloomington.
Topics include: The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ efforts to promote sustainable use of groundwater, the Pollution Control Agency’s plan to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus pollution of surface waters, a “new vision” for the Minnesota River, and the status of wetlands and wetland mitigation.
