Our Blue World Film Screening

Join Freshwater and University of St. Thomas for a special screening of Our Blue World: A Water Odyssey on May 13, 2026!

About the event

Join us for an evening of multidisciplinary insight and cinematic inspiration as we explore the evolving relationship between humanity and water.

The event will begin with a Student Visionary Reception, featuring final projects from University of St. Thomas students across engineering, theology, and sustainability departments. These presentations represent the culmination of a semester-long study on the past, present, and future dimensions of water, offering tactile solutions and "dreams for the future" of our most vital resource.

Following the reception, we will host a screening of the documentary Our Blue World. This film serves as a powerful capstone to the evening, bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern innovation. Narrated by Liam Neeson, Our Blue World explores humanity’s profound relationship with water and reveals how human agency can help rebalance the planet’s water systems. The film takes a deep dive into the lives of dynamic and visionary people around the world to examine our connection to water and its role as the nourishing life force for all that lives on this planet.

Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of University of St. Thomas. The event is free and open to all; RSVP required (see form below). Parking is available across the street at the Anderson Parking Facility for a fee.
