Precious Commodity

Precious Commodity is a public service announcement that expresses the importance of water.  It takes place in a dystopian future, where water is a precious commodity.  The piece depicts the exchange of a package between two men.  The content of the package is removed from its wrappings, revealing a jar of water.  Precious Commodity utilizes low-key lighting and desaturated hues to establish a dark tone.  The piece also employs a film-noir aesthetic to create a mysterious and dramatic atmosphere. Precious Commodity encourages the viewer to consider the significance of water and serves as a reminder to not take it for granted.  Included at the end of the piece is the web address for the World Water Council to provide a way for viewers to find further information on water conservation.
