The Minnesota Ag Department has named a 15-member committee to help Commissioner Dave Frederickson develop conservation and anti-pollution standards for the new Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program. Oklahoma has enacted water-conservation legislation vowing that water use will not grow by 2060 — even as the state’s population increases a projected 28 percent. Midwestern public water systems are eligible for a share of a $105 million class-action settlement with the manufacturer of the Atrazine weed-killer.
