Members Make a Difference: Looking Back over 2020

Last year, our community experienced extreme hardship: lost loved ones, lost jobs, and serious health threats to ourselves and our families. But through it all, Freshwater members continued to show an outpouring of support for the water of our communities.

This support inspired us again and again. A record-setting number of people joined our organization as members. A record-number supported us on Give to the Max Day. You surprised us with checks, stock gifts, and monthly donations. You added us to your wills. You even honored loved ones through tribute gifts paying homage to those lost to COVID-19.

And it didn’t stop there. Water stewards remained active in their communities. Volunteers continued giving time and talents remotely. Members waited patiently for their Weatherguide to arrive, as staff scrambled to keep up working from home. These actions and more speak to your care for the water that flows all around us.

Thank you for this and more.  Holistic community support can protect water for future generations. As you read Freshwater Facets, our impact reports, and other program stories, know that your investments of time, talent, and resources are making a difference. Together, we can do so much.
