The Freshwater Society will host an Oct. 21-22 Midwest meeting of the Sustainable Water Resources Roundtable. The Roundtable is a national group of water experts that provides advice and information to a range of federal agencies. It is a working group of the federal Advisory Committee on Water Information.
The meeting, which will be held at the Gray Freshwater Center in Excelsior, is open to the public. But seating is limited, and registration is required.

Roundtable participants will receive updates on national initiatives, such as an effort led by the U.S. Geological Survey to conduct a comprehensive examination of water availability across the country, and on programs and research directed at the Great Lakes.
Deborah Swackhamer, co-director of the University of Minnesota’s Water Resources Center and the leader of a legislatively mandated effort to recommend a framework for water sustainability in Minnesota, will provide an update on the Framework.
