EVENT DESCRIPTION
Please join us to learn about the new Minnesota State Science Standards and the inclusion of tribal knowledge with Indigenous Research Professor, Iyekiyapiwin Darlene St. Clair and Ojibwe birchbark artist, Pat Kruse. In this workshop, we will explore Dakota ways of knowing and teachings on the birch tree (Ṭaƞpa c̣aƞ in Dakota) as teachers create their own birch bark basket. All supplies and lunch will be provided. Catering by Waƞna Wotapi.
Registration is limited to 15 participants. Mileage and lodging assistance available upon request.
