Join us as we embark on a thoughtful exploration of the intersection between culture, relationality, and environmental responsibility.

Our conversations will be guided by Wendell Berry's Unsettling of America and Leanne Betasamosake Simpson's Theory of Water: Nishnaabe Maps to the Times Ahead. These works examine environmental ethics from both Western and Indigenous perspectives, and will help us consider the fragility of our environment and our critical role as community members and educators in stewarding a path to environmental resiliency, community connectedness, and hope.

The book club will be meeting virtually on the dates below from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. To ensure community building and comfortability, we hope that you'll prioritize attendance at each session, though we understand that may not always be possible. We will provide both books to participants. Participation is limited to 25 teachers.
