11th Annual Road Salt Symposium fights chloride pollution PDF Print E-mail

The Freshwater Society's 11th Annual Road Salt Symposium brought together almost 200 people on Feb. 2 to share knowledge about chloride pollution in our waters and to promote solutions for all to minimize chloride's impacts.  From snowplow drivers to homeowners, speakers provided the best management practices and alternatives for all to do their part to help protect our waters.

The City of Richfield, Donaldson, Co., City of Mahtomedi and Nine Mile Creek Watershed District were awarded Environmental Leadership Awards for their achievements in establishing programs that reduce the use of road salt
